The National Police has opened an investigation following the circulation of a video on social media that has gone viral, showing a young man hanging from the last car of a Metro de Madrid train running on the Line 1 of the subway, as reported by police sources to Europa Press.
Metro de Madrid has informed the Mobile Brigade of the National Police of this incident and will file an official complaint in the coming days, as indicated to Europa Press by the Madrid subway system.
The video uploaded on TikTok by the user @fffantin has amassed over 850,000 views.
In the video, a young man records himself at a Line 1 Metro station, wearing headphones and holding a phone, climbing onto the back of a Metro car. The train starts moving while the boy, clearly visible in the face, holds on with one hand while using the other to hold the phone he is recording with.

The Investigation Group of the Mobile Brigade of the National Police is investigating the incident under the Law on Protection of Citizen Security, which punishes uncivil acts in public transport, among others.
The regulations of Metro de Madrid include penalties for passengers’ behaviors that commit infractions that violate Law 16/1987, of July 30, on the Regulation of Land Transport. The competent authority to initiate and resolve the sanctioning procedures provided for in this Regulation is the General Manager of the Regional Transport Consortium.
