Torrelodones inaugurates ‘Villaseñor. Centennial of the birth of Manuel López-Villaseñor’, an exhibition that aims to vindicate Manuel López-Villaseñor, one of the main figures of 20th-century Spanish art.

The Madrid town celebrates the centenary of the birth of the Ciudad Real-born artist through the exhibition ‘Villaseñor’, composed of a collection temporarily loaned by the City Council of Ciudad Real.

Francisco Cañizares, Mayor of Ciudad Real, and Almudena Negro, Mayor of Torrelodones, inaugurated the exhibition emphasizing that, although López-Villaseñor was born in Ciudad Real, it was in Torrelodones where he had his studio.

‘Narcissus’, ‘Exodus IV. The departure’, ‘History of a life’, ‘The virgins of Torrelodones’, or ‘Salzburg’ are some of the twelve works that can be visited until June 3 at the Casa de Cultura Paco de Lucía.
