Amenazas, acoso y una deuda insostenible en la vida de un anciano
In San Sebastián de los Reyes, Felipe, a neighbor of almost 82 years old, is facing an alarming situation that has turned his life into a true hell. Owner of two adjacent houses, Felipe decided to prepare one of them for rent to earn extra income.
However, what started as a hopeful project turned into a nightmare when his friend, the tenant on the ground floor, started having problems with his partner. The situation escalated when he left and the woman decided to change the lock of the house and stopped paying the rent.
From that moment on, Felipe not only had to deal with the lack of income but also with constant threats and acts of harassment. «I’m about to turn 82 and I feel like I’ve never felt before, with a fear that I’ve been told I’m going to be killed,» Felipe declares visibly distressed.

One of the most chilling episodes occurred when the woman, in a fit of rage, tried to throw a dead rat at Felipe’s house. In recorded images, she can be seen doing so with the help of a dustpan after a failed attempt. This action is just a small glimpse of the constant harassment that the elderly man is facing.
Felipe not only feels threatened by the intimidating words and gestures of his tenant but has also had to deal with insults and strange behaviors that seem to border on the paranormal. «She calls me all sorts of names, does things with her fingers, then makes crosses and does these things, practices witchcraft,» he comments.

The situation becomes even more complicated as Felipe has accumulated a considerable debt due to the unpaid rent, now amounting to about 12,000 euros not counting additional expenses. «It’s 300 euros a month, but then there’s another very important thing, and it’s that the bills that have been coming lately show that she doesn’t turn off the faucets, 219, 250 in electricity every month that I have to pay,» Felipe explains.
Despite his efforts to resolve the conflict and reclaim his property, Felipe has seen how his life has been severely impacted by this situation. «My problem is not the debt, the serious problem is the fear I have of dying at any moment there on the sidewalk,» he confesses.

Regarding the upper part of his property, it is currently rented to Paolo and Iván, who have also had their own problems with this woman. «She threatens us with death, paints little things on our property, she has hit me, she broke my mouth,» they recount visibly concerned about the hostile environment created by the troublesome tenant.
Felipe’s story is a chilling reminder of the difficulties that landlords can face in complicated situations and how harassment can severely affect the quality of life of the elderly.
