Aviso amarillo por calor y tormentas en Madrid este lunes

The Community of Madrid, excluding the mountain area, welcomes the week with a yellow heat warning, and in the case of the southern, Vegas, and western areas also for storms, on a day where temperatures will easily exceed 35 degrees.

As forecasted by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), this Monday the skies will be mostly clear, with intervals of high clouds that will increase to cloudy skies with evolution in the afternoon.

In fact, in the southeast, this cloudiness may be accompanied by showers and storms, with hail or very strong wind gusts, so a yellow warning will be activated in that area from noon until midnight.

Both the southern, Vegas, and western areas as well as the Metropolitan and Henares areas will also be under a yellow warning from 1 pm to 9 pm, for heat, as temperatures are expected to reach up to 37 ºC and 36 ºC respectively.

The rise in temperatures will be widespread, both in terms of maximum and minimum temperatures, and there will be light winds from the south and southeast, with a possibility of very strong gusts in stormy areas.

The forecasted temperatures in some towns in the region are as follows: Alcalá de Henares 16 and 38 degrees, Aranjuez 13 and 37, Collado Villalba 17 and 34, Getafe 21 and 38, Madrid 21 and 37, and Navalcarnero 20 and 36 degrees.
