Celebración del Día de la Familia en la Finca de El Pilar

The Las Rozas City Council, through the Family and Social Services department, has prepared a big celebration for this Saturday, June 14, to celebrate the International Day of Families, which is commemorated every year on May 15. Although it was initially planned to be held last month, it had to be postponed to this weekend due to weather conditions.

The El Pilar Estate will host this activity aiming to promote healthy, sustainable, and inclusive leisure activities for families and raise awareness about the importance of family as a fundamental pillar of our society, where upbringing holds a crucial value. The Family Celebration reinforces the Right of Children to grow up in a family environment and play, a basic right that must be guaranteed, as growth and development within the family environment are essential for children.

The event will be free to attend, from 11 am to 7 pm. Attendees can enjoy activities such as zip lines, fencing, inflatables, parades with drumming, family dancing, face painting, nature workshops, rocket workshops, solar observation, family and children’s inflatables, and table tennis, among other activities. There will also be theater performances, science workshops, and a dome with universe projections.

The Family Celebration will have the participation of Red Cross, Petanque Association of Las Rozas, and clubs such as CBLR Las Rozas, MTB Cycling School Con Un Par de Ruedas, and Table Tennis Club Noroeste Las Rozas.

Attendees who come with their bicycles can ride the Mountain Bike circuit. Additionally, there will be food trucks, petanque, ping pong, a pirate ship, archery, among other activities.
