Celebrada la II edición de CaniCross en La Dehesa de Navalcarbón

CaniCross

The second edition of CaniCross, organized by the Las Rozas City Council through the Health and Sports departments, brought together nearly 100 residents and their dogs at Navalcarbón Park on Sunday for this non-competitive 4 km race. The main goal of this event is to showcase the benefits of having these pets in society and promote their adoption.

Council members Mónica Paraíso (Health), Juan Cabrera (Sports), Ruth Agra (Family and Social Services), and Belén González (District Center and Commerce) all attended the event to highlight how dogs contribute to the cardiovascular health of their owners, whether by joining them in sports activities or simply going for a walk. All participants received a thank-you pack at the end of the event.

According to data from the Registry of Identification of Companion Animals (RIAC) in the Community of Madrid, Las Rozas is one of the municipalities with the highest density of pets per inhabitant. Currently, there are 14,476 registered dogs, 6,302 cats, 76 ferrets, and 203 rabbits, indicating that nearly every family shares their home with an animal.
