Comienza el proceso de escolarización para el curso 2025/2026 en Las Rozas.
The School Enrollment Guide, prepared by the City Council, is available on the municipal website with all the information.
As a novelty, the CEIP Mario Vargas Llosa and Los Jarales are progressively incorporating 1st and 2nd of ESO.
The School Support Service (SAE) of Las Rozas will address and resolve the doubts of families throughout the process.
Today marks the beginning of the enrollment process in the entire Community of Madrid for the next school year 2025/2026. Until March 26, there is a period during which you can apply for a place for Early Childhood Education, Primary, Secondary, and Baccalaureate, as well as Special Education. Requests will be made preferably online, through the Virtual Secretary or the Electronic Headquarters of the Community of Madrid, and exceptionally in person, by submitting the application on paper at the chosen school as the first option.
To provide families with all the information, the City Council of Las Rozas, through the Department of Education and Culture, has prepared the Enrollment Guide, available at www.lasrozas.es. In addition, the School Support Service (SAE) of Las Rozas, with municipal staff from the Education area, will be available to all families to answer questions or provide details about the enrollment process through phone 010, email concejaliaeducacion@lasrozas.es, or in person at their headquarters located at the Education Department (Calle Camino del Caño, 2), from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm.
Information on requirements, procedures, vacancies, documentation, criteria, and deadlines is published on the Virtual Secretary, on the municipal website www.lasrozas.es, and at the educational centers.
Dates to consider:
After the deadline for submitting applications for the regular admission process on March 20, on April 4, provisional lists of students who have requested the school as their first choice for the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary, and Secondary will be published. From April 7 to 9, claims can be made to the provisional lists of student applicants. On April 24, the scores obtained will be published, both for the 1st choice and for the other chosen centers, with claims possible on these lists on April 25, 28, and 29. Regarding places for Special Education Centers, the provisional proposal will be released on May 6, with May 7, 8, and 9 set for raising claims and complementary requests.
On May 14, the list of admitted students in each center will be published, whether they are first-choice applicants or in other options that have obtained a place. Students who have not obtained a place in any of the requested centers can go to the SAE to make a complementary request for the available places on May 29 and 30. Finally, students must enroll in Early Childhood, Primary, and Special Education centers from June 12 to 26, and in Secondary Education centers from June 12 to July 4.
Admissions and scoring criteria:
In Las Rozas, the ordinary multiple assignment is applied for the transition from Primary to 1st of Secondary, meaning that all applications are scored based on the current criteria, without preferential access. In the case of CEIPSO El Cantizal, as a center that offers both Primary and Secondary in the same school premises, students from Primary go directly to Secondary. As a novelty, the CEIP Mario Vargas Llosa and Los Jarales will progressively incorporate 1st and 2nd of ESO from the next school year, becoming, like El Cantizal, CEIPSO.
The highest score is still obtained with siblings enrolled in the same center, with 30 points for families with two or more siblings in the center and 15 points for those who already have a sibling enrolled. Families living and/or working in Las Rozas receive 12 points, while those residing or working outside the municipality receive 8 points. The condition of a large family continues to earn 10 points for the general category and 11 for the special category, with the unborn child counted for the application of this admission criterion.
Other criteria include children born from multiple births (3 points), the condition of single-parent families (3 points), the situation of the student in foster care (3 points), and the condition of victims of gender violence or terrorism (2 points), among others.
Regarding access to Baccalaureate from Secondary, the scoring criteria include the average grade from the previous year (4th ESO), with 11 points for an average grade equal to or greater than 9, decreasing to 6 points for an average grade of 6 to 7.
First cycle of Early Childhood Education:
The public Nursery Schools in the municipality, Cigüeña María, Aserrín Aserrán, La Marazuela, and Juan Ramón Jiménez, will also offer places in the centers Mario Vargas Llosa, San Miguel, San José, and Los Olivos for the next school year, continuing to offer the first cycle of Early Childhood Education.
In public centers, whether Nursery Schools or the mentioned schools, the application for a place is also from March 12 to 26. After the publication of provisional lists on May 12, claims can be made on May 13, 14, and 16, and the final lists on June 6, with the enrollment period from June 12 to 26.
The access criteria for these places are aimed at facilitating reconciliation. It awards the maximum score (5 points) to parents, guardians, who both work part-time or full-time, or single-parent families, along with other criteria such as family income (scoring from 5 to 0.5), registration in the municipality (3 points), and large families (special 3 points, general 2), among others.
Novelties for the next school year:
In Las Rozas, with a student population of nearly 19,000, a period begins that mobilizes thousands of families. Thus, the next school year, the municipality will have 7 CEIPs, 3 CEIPSOs – including the progressive incorporation of the Mario Vargas Llosa and Los Jarales schools, which join El Cantizal – 5 Secondary Education Institutes, a Special Education Center, 6 private schools, and 7 private educational centers.
Another novelty is the creation of a Basic Compulsory Education classroom for students with Special Educational Needs at the Santa María de Las Rozas school.
All information about the enrollment process for the 2025/2026 school year is available on the municipal website www.lasrozas.es.
