Cuatro personas arrestadas por presuntos malos tratos en guardería de Torrejón de Ardoz.

There are already four arrests for abuse in a daycare center in Torrejón de Ardoz: two of them are the alleged perpetrators of the abuse of the children and two other individuals for failing to prevent crimes.

This Thursday, late in the afternoon, as soon as the videos released by a daycare worker that have caused social alarm were made public, the caregiver was arrested for alleged child abuse, and this morning the police have arrested three other individuals.

Buenos Días Madrid has spoken with Nanci, one of the mothers of the children at the daycare center, and her testimony is chilling: «We can’t sleep thinking about my daughter’s reactions…from the moment I took her there, she had trouble eating.»

After speaking with Telemadrid, Nanci went to the police station to file a report.

THE COMMUNITY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF TORREJÓN OPEN AN INVESTIGATION

The City Council of Torrejón de Ardoz, after analyzing the images, has opened an investigation through an urgent procedure to take the appropriate measures regarding the daycare center and its owners.

Given the recent information, videos, and images published in various media outlets regarding a possible situation of abuse and mistreatment in the care of a minor by staff at the private Cascanueces Infant Education Center, located at 1 Río Pelayo Street in our city, the City Council of Torrejón de Ardoz has requested the Madrid-East Territorial Area Directorate of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Universities of the Community of Madrid for information.

Additionally, the City Council of Torrejón de Ardoz through its Department of Education (Boyeros Street, 5 phone: 916782560; hours of operation: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm) offers support for the schooling in other Infant Education centers in the city to any affected families who wish to avail themselves of it.

On the other hand, the Educational Inspection of the Community of Madrid has opened an investigation to gather information about the events at this privately owned nursery school and determine the measures to be taken by the Ministry of Education. Simultaneously, the Schooling Support Service (SAE) of the East Territorial Area Directorate is available to the families using this school.
