Descenso del 5,6% en la tasa de criminalidad convencional en Las Rozas
Theft of vehicles decreased by more than 73%, robberies with violence dropped by 46.7%, and home invasions decreased by 22%. The Local Police carried out over 30,000 operations in 2024, with nearly 12,000 related to traffic and 1,141 focused on the protection of minors.
Criminal activity in Las Rozas decreased by 5.6% according to data provided by the Ministry of Interior for the first three months of 2025. Specifically, serious offenses decreased by 31.3%, robberies with violence and intimidation by 46.7%, and burglaries by 22%. Noteworthy reductions include a 73.3% decrease in vehicle theft and a 25% decrease in drug trafficking. Overall, total criminal activity in the municipality decreased by 1.1% in the first quarter of the year, although cybercrime increased by 9.2%, in line with the national trend.
Mayor José de la Uz visited the Local Police station to receive the «Report of Actions of the Local Police of Las Rozas in 2024» from Police Commissioner Manuel López and Councilor for Security and Emergencies David Santos. The Mayor expressed satisfaction with the results of the first quarter of the year, attributing them to the dedication of the Local Police, in collaboration with the Civil Guard of Las Rozas, in ensuring the quality of life for residents.
Last year, the Local Police conducted a total of 30,488 interventions and responded to 27,394 calls, solidifying their role as guardians of the safety and well-being of residents. These activities were carried out with a focus on resource optimization, digitalization, and community engagement.
Key areas of action included traffic and road safety, with 11,913 interventions, as well as the protection of minors, with 1,141 operations. Specialized operations were also reinforced, with 585 interventions by the Gender Violence Unit and 1,426 deployments by the Special Security Unit, in addition to 149 actions by the Canine Unit.
