They demand that the President of the Government provide explanations. They also claim that prostitution was present within the Council of Ministers. This Monday, precisely, Jessica Rodríguez, the former partner of Minister Ábalos, will appear before the Senate investigation committee.
Thus, the Secretary General of the Popular Party, Cuca Gamarra, stated this Sunday in Logroño that «the Sánchez-Gómez marriage should not remain in the Moncloa for another day,» where, she claimed, «corruption is systemic.»

«When we talk about the rescue of Air Europa, we are talking about the fastest rescue, the highest rescue, 475 million from the first rescue. How is it possible that a company of this complexity was rescued in just 70 days? It’s possible when you know the connections this company had not only with the Government, within and from a Ministry, but also in the personal relationships with the President’s wife,» emphasized Gamarra.

Therefore, they demanded that «it’s time for them to provide explanations, silence is not an option, the answers they have been avoiding all year are now being provided by the judicial and police investigations.»
«This government does not govern, it resists, but it resists by tolerating and covering up corruption, and this is not what Spain or the Spanish people deserve,» insisted Cuca Gamarra, who noted that «this is a crucial week to further understand the extent of corruption in our country,» pointing to «the appearance tomorrow in the Senate of Jessica at 11 in the morning.»

«The government that claimed to come to end corruption and to be the one to save women has proven to be the most corrupt government and, furthermore, the government that has practiced prostitution from within the Council of Ministers,» accused Gamarra.
She concluded by emphasizing that «Spain deserves another government, not this indecent government, because with everything we have learned during this past week about the relationships of the scheme with the President’s wife, who allegedly could have influenced the rescue of a Spanish company, it is clear that the Sánchez Gómez marriage should not remain in the Moncloa for another day, they must provide explanations and assume political responsibilities.»
