Encuesta de GAD3 para ‘ABC’ muestra mayoría absoluta de Almeida en Madrid
A survey conducted by GAD3 for ‘ABC’ indicates that the PP of José Luis Martínez-Almeida leads in the capital city with an intention to vote of 48.5%. In municipal elections, it would strengthen its current absolute majority by adding one more councilor (30), while the PSOE-M would take over the leadership of the opposition from Más Madrid.
The survey, based on 657 interviews conducted between April 15 and 24, indicates that the PP would improve by four percentage points compared to the 2023 elections, when it obtained 44.5%.
May 2 Polls: Ayuso would consolidate her absolute majority if there were elections today
The other party that would see a significant improvement is the PSOE-M of Reyes Maroto, which would go from 16.8% achieved in 2023 (with 11 councilors) to 19.5% (with 12 councilors).
On the other hand, Más Madrid, with Rita Maestre at the helm, would lose two seats (from 12 to 10) as its voting percentage decreases from 19.1% in 2023 to 16.9%.
The setback for the left as a bloc would be completed by Podemos, which in 2023 was close to gaining representation in Cibeles (aggregated 4.9% of the vote count and needs 5%) but now moves away from the goal, with an estimated vote of 2.9%.
Finally, Vox would remain stable in its figures: Javier Ortega Smith’s party would slightly improve its voting percentage (from 9.1% in 2023 to 9.3%) but not enough to increase its current five councilors.
