Alcorcón celebrates the popular festivals of the San José de Valderas neighborhood from May 8 to 11 at the Los Castillos esplanade, which will once again be the focal point of these festivities featuring live music, cultural activities, and popular food.

This was highlighted by the Councilor of Culture, Festivals, and Seniors, Raquel Rodríguez, during the presentation of the festival’s program, one of the most popular in the area and «which blends tradition with new ways of celebrating our Alcorcón identity.»

«The Valderas festivals represent the best of our neighborhood’s culture, a time to share music and joy with family, friends, and neighbors,» emphasized Rodríguez, who wanted to thank the community associations of the San José de Valderas neighborhood for «their commitment to revitalizing» these festivities.

The events will kick off on Thursday, May 8 with the opening of the Club de Moto stand at 6:00 p.m. and a concert at 8:30 p.m. The Social Center San José de Valderas will not open its doors until Friday, organizing numerous cultural activities in front of its headquarters.

On that same Friday, the Club de Moto stand will host an urban dance festival by the Helena Belasco Dance School at 8:30 p.m. at the Los Castillos esplanade, followed by music from several DJs performing from 10:30 p.m. in the area.

On Saturday, the 10th, there will be cultural activities at the Social Center starting at 11:00 a.m., and at the Club de Moto stand from 12:00 p.m., including the award ceremony for the Pluma de Oro Short Story and Poetry Contest.

At 3:30 p.m., the Rock Vermouth will take place, followed by an afternoon of entertainment and karaoke, culminating in two major performances: the international Italian band, Banda Bassotti, at 10:00 p.m., followed by a tribute band to Gatillazo and La Polla Record at midnight.

Sunday, the 11th, will begin with the traditional classic car gathering at 10:00 a.m. at the Club de Moto stand, followed by the children’s show by the local company, the ‘Circódromo Vaya lío, a very crazy show’ at Los Castillos Park, in front of the Social Center, at 12:00 p.m.

Gastronomy will also be a highlight with a popular paella at 2:30 p.m., while the closing of the festival will be the Valderas Pop Rock Festival 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Club de Moto stand.
