Galapagar ajusta su ruta solidaria por tramos inundados
The Galapagar City Council has decided to change the initial route of the solidarity march this Sunday as a safety measure due to water presence in some sections.
A participation of more than 2,000 people is expected, and they do not want to take risks because emergency services would not be able to access some points of the walk.
The main difficulty, they explain, is halfway along the Camino de la Puerta Verde, where a lagoon has formed that occupies part of the adjacent estate and the entire width of the path.

They warn that it is possible to cross it on one side, but it would create a significant bottleneck considering the attendance forecast.
Additionally, they add, in the Cañada Real Segoviana, at the height of the Hermitage, there is also a large accumulation of water that would hinder the passage of emergency vehicles.
The march will ultimately be 5 kilometers, a distance considered suitable and accessible to all audiences.

Registrations are still open (donation 5 euros). The funds raised in this ninth edition will be distributed among associations and groups working for the inclusion of people with disabilities and also for the neighborhood support networks of Galapagar.
