Homenaje a Miguel Ángel Blanco en Las Rozas

Yesterday afternoon, a tribute to Miguel Ángel Blanco was held in Las Rozas on the 28th anniversary of his assassination by the terrorist group ETA. The municipal Corporation, led by the mayor, José de la Uz, attended the event, accompanied by the brothers of Ignacio Echeverría, a resident of the municipality who was killed in the terrorist attacks in London in 2017. Also present were representatives from the different security and emergency services in Las Rozas: Local Police, Civil Guard, SAMER, and Civil Protection.

During the event, which took place in the Espíritu de Ermua park in La Marazuela, De la Uz read the manifesto of the Miguel Ángel Blanco Foundation. Afterwards, a floral tribute was made at the monument to the victims of terrorism, where 28 white roses were placed, one for each year since the councilor’s assassination. The event concluded with a musical piece and the national anthem.
