La remodelada plaza de Olavide, en Madrid

The remodeling of the Olavide square and its surroundings has been awarded the City 2025 Award from Open House Madrid in the Urban Design category, as reported by the Madrid City Council in a statement.

The jury has particularly valued the «innovative character of this intervention that has transformed an emblematic enclave in the Chamberí district» through the improvement of environmental quality, accessibility, and urban landscape.

Upon completion, the project has created a meeting place for neighbors, as conveyed by the City Council, «integrating different generations and promoting a new way of understanding, using, and enjoying public space.»
