La Tarjeta Sanitaria Virtual brinda información sobre el uso de medicamentos
The Virtual Health Card (VHC) has incorporated general information and recommendations for the patient regarding the use of medications in the Medication window. There are a total of four documents that can be downloaded individually, explaining how to take the treatment properly and safely, what to do with the medicines at home or when visiting a doctor or hospital, and how to use them when traveling.
When the user first enters this section of the VHC, they will automatically see an informative window with access to these files and will have the protocols to follow in the informational icon located in the top right corner of the screen.
Additionally, a new entry advising on medication use will be added to the card’s news carousel, linking to the informational documents.
The Virtual Health Card includes information about heatwaves, such as forecasted maximums or alert levels.
On the other hand, users who make a dispensation at a pharmacy in the region will receive a notification about the transaction made to confirm if the beneficiary has withdrawn it or not.
Furthermore, the name of the establishment will be indicated, and if the response is negative, the system will send an email to the pharmacy inspection for verification.
In the case of collection in another region, it will only be indicated that it has been delivered outside the Community of Madrid, as pointed out by the Digitalization Department.
These are the new functions of the Virtual Health Card of Madrid.
This new functionality summed up to the existing 185 features of the VHC and over 60 services.
The Digitalization Councillor, Miguel López Valverde, has valued it as «a further step towards the health and personalized well-being of the citizen» and emphasized that this application offers «increasingly virtual utilities, accessible from any location, without the need for travel and in real-time.»
