“Although the works benefit everyone, they sometimes cause irreparable damage to small and family businesses. That is why we, as the Administration, must take responsibility for the harm caused. Because we are here to help, not to cause more harm,” he pointed out during his speech at the VI Forum for Entrepreneurs and Self-Employed organized by the National Federation of Self-Employed Workers Associations (ATA).
These subsidies will have an initial endowment of 500,000 euros and will be aimed at small and medium-sized companies in the commercial and service sector, located in the directly affected area of these public infrastructure improvement works owned by the autonomous community. In this sense, they will cover 100% of the amount associated with current expenses related to the routine operation of these businesses, such as mortgage payments or rent for the establishment, as well as the costs of insurances associated with the premises or those required for their activity.
The Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) has published today the Strategic Plan of this program for 2025/26 and, in the upcoming weeks, will announce its regulatory bases and the summary of the call, which will open the deadline for the submission of applications and will provide all the necessary details and requirements.
Currently, the regional government is carrying out the expansion works of Line 11 of the Madrid Metro to turn it into a major diagonal axis of the capital, crossing the city from the new developments in the northeast in Valdebebas to the southwest in Cuatro Vientos. With an investment of 518 million euros and an estimated completion deadline for 2027, the first phase of this project includes the construction of two new stations, in Comillas and Madrid Rio, and three new connections with Atocha, Palos de la Frontera, and Conde de Casal.
