The A-2 motorway (Madrid-Barcelona) has been completely reopened to traffic in the early hours of the morning after being closed for 45 kilometers due to snow from Alcolea del Pinar (Guadalajara) to Santa María de Huerta (Soria).

According to the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) at 1:36 am, the A-2 between kilometers 135 and 180 remains passable at a yellow level, meaning a ban on trucks and articulated vehicles.

Snow has caused traffic difficulties in the last hours in other parts of the national road network such as the A-1, A-2, and AP-6. Specifically, the affected roads are in Guadalajara (Torija); Segovia (El Espinar and Santo Tomé del Puerto); Soria (Golmayo and Medinaceli) and Madrid (El Vellón and Guadarrama).
