Regresamos al nivel 1 del Plan de Inundaciones en Madrid

The Emergency and Security Agency of the Community of Madrid (ASEM 112) has once again activated operational situation 1 of the Special Flood Plan (INUNCAM) on Monday due to the forecast of rain, the release of dams from the Canal de Isabel II and the Tajo Hydrographic Confederation (CHT), and the snowmelt in the Sierra in the coming days.

Therefore, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain in the Sierra from 6:00 p.m. this Monday until the end of Tuesday, with an accumulated precipitation of 40 millimeters in 12 hours.

In response, the Forest Agents of the Community, Civil Protection teams from municipalities, and Local Police officers are on the ground monitoring and supervising the state of rivers to promptly inform the Plan director.
