Seis Trinitarios condenados a 10 años de cárcel por intento de asesinato

Detención de un Coro de Trinitarios muy peligroso

Six members of the Trinitarios gang have been sentenced to ten years in prison for two attempted murders committed in 2023 in a park in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, during an attack on the territory of their rivals, where they assaulted two individuals unrelated to youth gangs.

The Provincial Court of Madrid has issued the verdict in this case, in which the accused accepted a five-year prison sentence for each charge of premeditated attempted murder and membership in a criminal organization, pursuant to a plea agreement with the Prosecution and the private prosecution.

The seventh accused, whose affiliation with the Trinitarios has not been proven, has been sentenced, under the same agreement, to seven and a half years in prison for the same acts, without considering membership in a criminal organization in his case, as stated in the ruling accessed by EFE.

Trinitarios on trial for attempted murder of two young people in a park in Arganzuela shouting ‘Patria’

The seven have admitted that on January 14, 2023, they gathered to carry out a «fall» on the Dominican Don’t Play, meaning a violent attack in the territory of a rival gang. Masked and hooded, they went to the Cuña Verde del Ferrocarril park in Arganzuela at 10:50 PM, where they attacked three men sitting on a bench with stones and machetes, shouting «patria,» even though they had no affiliation with any youth gang.

One of the three attacked managed to escape, while the other two were assaulted by a group of 14 young people – the seven convicts and seven minors – who struck them with machetes, causing lasting scars and injuries, including one to the face.

In addition to the prison sentence, the seven young individuals have been sentenced to eight years of supervised release and are prohibited from approaching the victims within 500 meters, whom they have compensated with €26,000 for the injuries and aftermath of the attack.

The verdict is final as neither party intends to appeal, as stated during the trial and reflected in the ruling of the Provincial Court.
