Cierre de la CM-2031 entre Madrid y Guadalajara por desbordamiento del río Tajuña

La M-215 a su paso por Ambite

The CM-2031 road has been closed to traffic at the border between Madrid and Guadalajara due to the closure of a bridge on the M-215, in the town of Ambite, as a result of the Tajuña river flooding.

According to the emergency service 112 of Castilla-La Mancha, the closure occurred at 19:43 on the stretch that connects Ambite with Mondéjar (Guadalajara).

As a safety measure, the Civil Guard has halted traffic on this road that connects both communities.

Initially, it was reported that the bridge had collapsed, but it has been confirmed that it was only the river overflowing that caused the closure.

Rising waters in Madrid’s rivers lead to evacuations and the rescue of trapped individuals

In parallel, Emergency 112 of the Community of Madrid has announced the closure of the M-215 at the entrance to the Sierra Tajuña urbanization in Ambite, for the same reason.

Through a post on the social network X, it has been reminded that drivers can use the M-234 as an alternative route.

On the other hand, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow alert for strong winds in the Sierra de Madrid this Thursday, from 9:00 to 18:00.

Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 80 km/h in the highest areas.

In response to this situation, the Security and Emergency Agency of the Community of Madrid (ASEM 112) has alerted the municipalities in the mountains and emergency services to take necessary precautions.
