Díaz Ayuso premia a Dani Carvajal con la Medalla de Oro de la Comunidad de Madrid

“Thank you for being who you are, for inspiring children and adults alike, for those who love you, wait for you, and today celebrate with you this well-deserved recognition,” emphasized Díaz Ayuso, who also highlighted his “dedication, respect, and camaraderie” that have earned him the admiration of his teammates and sports rivals.

The Gold Medal recognizes the merits of individuals, institutions, or entities that have provided services to the community at large. Dani Carvajal, a youth product of Real Madrid born in Leganés, receives this award following the decision made in the Council of Government on April 9, after the conclusion of the 2024/25 LaLiga season. Throughout his career, the footballer has won more than 30 titles, establishing himself as one of the most decorated of his generation.

Among them, with Real Madrid, the defender has won six Champions League titles, six Club World Cups, five UEFA Super Cups, four La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, and four Spanish Super Cups. Additionally, with the Spanish national team, he achieved a Eurocup last year and a Nations League title in 2023.

Furthermore, this year Carvajal was the official announcer for the San Isidro festivities organized by the City Council of the capital, another demonstration of the affection shown to him by the people of Madrid and his commitment to his homeland.

Other historical players from the Merengue club, such as Alfredo Di Stéfano (2006) and Iker Casillas (2013), as well as the club itself for its centenary (2002), have also been awarded the Gold Medal of the Community of Madrid.
