Folklore in Madrid’s Plaza Mayor, music and dance at Matadero Madrid, fashion at Jardines de las Vistillas, and traditional dances at La Pradera are some of the proposals to celebrate San Isidro this Thursday.

The day will start at 10 am with the traditional parade by the Federation of Traditional Madrid Groups, which will go from Paseo del Quince de Mayo to the Ermita del Santo.

Along the route, carnations, handkerchiefs, fans, and parpusas will be distributed.

At 1 pm, the Field Mass at La Pradera de San Isidro will be held, and from 5 pm, the atmosphere will be livened up with musical performances and popular dances.

The musical finale at this venue will be provided by the iconic pop band Modestia Aparte starting at 8:30 pm, celebrating 37 years of artistic career, and their songs, turned into anthems for a whole generation, will transport the audience back to the 80s and 90s.

At 10:30 pm, Los Manolos will bring their fusion of Catalan rumba and pop to fill La Pradera with color and joy.

PLAZA MAYOR, DANCES, AND CONCERTS

In Plaza Mayor, at 12 pm, the 41st Festival of Madrid Dances will be celebrated. The Bolera School of Madrid, also known as ‘goyesca’, and the music and dances of Castile that evoke the Madrid of yesteryears will come together on stage.

In the afternoon, at 7 pm, Los Brincos will offer a concert where they will revisit their greatest hits, allowing the audience to experience a magical evening with songs full of memories and unforgettable melodies.

And after the San Isidro procession, the Mondragón Orchestra, led by Javier Gurruchaga, will offer, at 9:30 pm, a commemorative show for the 40th anniversary of their album Rock & Roll Circus.

FASHION, TRADITIONAL MUSIC, AND CUPLÉ AT LAS VISTILLAS AND BULLFIGHTING AT LAS VENTAS

The stage at Las Vistillas will host, at 12:30 pm, the second edition of the fashion contest Reinventing Chulapos, organized by La Juan Gallery.

This design competition offers young talents the opportunity to express their creativity by reinventing the traditional Chulapa and Chulapo outfits in honor of the San Isidro festivities.

The event will conclude with a fashion show where designs created specifically for the occasion will be presented to the public, and a panel of experts will select the winner.

SAN ISIDRO BULLFIGHT AT LAS VENTAS

Telemadrid will offer live coverage of the traditional San Isidro bullfight from the Las Ventas bullring, starting at 7 pm.

The lineup includes bulls from José Enrique Fraile de Valdefresno for the matadors Paco Ureña, David Galván, and Alejandro Chicharro, who will confirm his alternative.

In the evening, at 8 pm, Olga María Ramos will share with the audience at Las Vistillas a fun, mischievous, sentimental, and very traditional concert with the best cuplés and chotis.

At 8:30 pm, the Maremagnum Orchestra will get Matadero dancing with over three hours of live music covering all musical styles. Their show stands out for an impressive staging that includes over 50 costume changes and a wide repertoire covering all musical styles for all audiences, putting a festive end to this space, transformed during these days into a grand outdoor party.

The culmination of the festivities will arrive at midnight, with a fireworks display lighting up the sky of Madrid and bidding farewell to the 2025 celebrations in honor of San Isidro Labrador.
